The Tea Party Movement has come a long way in less than a year! Have you joined in on the Movement yet?
Following the thousands of Tea Party Rallies held across the country throughout 2009, the Town Hall meetings with some of our elected officials in August, the 912 March on Washington that brought 2 MILLION conservative American patriots together in the largest protest Rally ever held at the US Capitol, the Pink Slip campaign that sent more than 3 million pink slips to every senator and every representative in Congress warning them that unless they changed their ways we would vote them out, the tens of millions of phone calls and letters to our elected officials telling them to stop taxing, stop growing the government, stop stealing our freedoms and to restore the Constitutional balance of power, and the elections in Virginia, New Jersey and now Massachusetts, We the People have halted the Deathcare Bill, killed Cap & Tax, and have had a major impact on American politics.
We have a lot of work ahead of us to restore the conservative Christian principles upon which our Constitutional Republic is built, but by joining together, we will save our Republic!
So if you are sick and tired of what is going on in Washington, join with us! If you are opposed to the government killing free enterprise and our economy with it, join with us! If you are fed up with the government Unconstitutionally taking over private industry after private industry, from banking to insurance companies to automobile companies, join with us!
Are you angry at the power hungry senators, representatives and the current president who have no concept of what limited government means, and are growing the government at an astonishing rate? Are you opposed to the Marxist destruction of our great Republic?
Just where does the Constitution give a president the right to appoint "Czars" anyway? Every president already has a highly paid Cabinet that has to be approved by the Senate, yet these Unconstitutional "Czars" haven't been approved by anybody, and there is no oversight. The Federal Reserve Board is another Unconstitutional power behind the throne that has no oversight, and which refuses to tell Congress and the American people where all of the hundreds of billions of dollars of TARP have gone. Does this get you hopping mad? It should!

The term Tea Party is used in commemoration of the Boston Tea Party of December 1773, a grassroots event protesting the high taxes the British King had established on tea to the American colonies. The Boston Tea
Party presaged the Declaration of Independence, thus it was a crucial event that led to the Revolutionary War and the establishment of the United States of America as a sovereign Republic.
The Tea Parties are non-partisan events designed to ignite the fires of patriotism in the hearts of all citizens of Tipton and the surrounding counties. There will be speeches on our freedoms and on the perils of huge government spending and taxation to the economy and to our liberties. To protest all of the pork in the federal spending bills
and budgets, bring some cans of Pork & Beans. They will be donated to local food banks.
The Constitution of the United States was created by our Founding Fathers as the highest law of the Republic, and the Bill of Rights (the first ten amendments to the Constitution) established the inalienable Rights of every American citizen, derived from God, and which includes the Freedom of Speech, the Freedom to Keep and Bear Arms, the Freedom of Religion, the Freedom of Assembly, et cetera.
These Rights are individual Rights held by every citizen, they are inviolate and must be protected from all
government encroachments by each and every one of us.

Previous Protests:
The first Tipton County Tea Party was held on Memorial Day, 25 May 2009, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The location was Shelton Park, which is at the corner of Highway 51 and Church Street in Covington, Tennessee. Thank you to the speakers and to all of those who helped make our first Tea Party Rally a success!
We had close to 200 citizens attend the event, an opening and closing prayer, a wonderful young lady sing the National Anthem and Amazing Grace, a Vietnam Veteran from the American Legion led us in the Pledge of Allegiance, a sign contest with about 30 contestants and the winner receiving a free Tea Party t-shirt, five wonderful speakers as well as several surprise guests who each spoke a few words.
Our second Tipton County Tea Party was held on the 4th of July from
2:00 to 4:00 pm at Munford City Park, next to the Munford Library and
across from the Munford Fire Department. There were again close to 200 enthusiastic people in attendance. Three main speakers educated the crowd on current events and the Constitution, including a young man fresh out of home school who spoke on what the 4th of July means to him.
Numerous short statements were given on the economy and the intentions of our Founding Fathers when they created our Republic, as well as Open Mike time for those in attendance to speak out on what concerns them the most about the current economic crisis, the government's complete fiscal irresponsibility, the wholesale wasting of our tax dollars by our elected officials, and the constant government onslaught against our Constitutionally guaranteed Freedoms.
We had a difficult time judging all of the great signs, but the crowd eventually determined our winner, a young lady with a sharp wit whose sign summed up the protest against the Marxist destruction of our Republic. She won a very nice Tea Party Tea shirt. Our thanks to all of our wonderful speakers and to all who attended!
