The rally is organized by patriotic Tipton County citizens who are concerned about the direction our country is heading. The Tipton County rally is part of a state and national movement of “tea parties” on main streets across the country. We gather in the spirit of the Sons of Liberty in Boston, who in 1773, protested the British government by dumping tons of tea into Boston harbor.
We, as citizens of the United States, have an obligation to educate ourselves about the direction America is heading. We need to know our representatives' voting records, not their campaign rhetoric and to commit that we will no longer sit silently by while our representatives run up a debt bigger than the world's Gross Domestic Product (GDP); while they erode more and more of our liberties; while they grow government by nationalizing banks; and while they socialize healthcare.
The purpose of this website is to provide you the resources to become more educated on government and our representatives' records. If you are pleased with their votes, then continue to vote for them at the next election. But, if their voting history doesn't reflect what you expected, what they stated they stood for, PLEASE let's join together to vote them out of office. Our children and grandchildren are relying on us to make good decisions that will directly impact their future. Are we being good stewards of their future?
